Sleeping Fine in Seattle

Cotton Candy. Simone, Downtown Seattle.

Cotton Candy. Simone, Downtown Seattle.

I have eclipsed the one week mark living in Seattle. I have yet to run into Tom Hanks and his movie son Jonah, but I see Boeing and at least one Starbucks everyday so it has worked out fine.

Seriously though, I have gotten some portraits done downtown, and a few different spots around town have been good test locations for some urban landscape photography. Last night I captured a sunset through some power lines in Beacon Hill, and enjoyed editing them in a pretty sensationalist fashion. Local King 5 News appreciated it enough, throwing a like on twitter, but the city has been nice enough to me.

Okay, that should be enough of an update, back to the shoot that I have done.

On Monday, I shot downtown with Simone, and we had a blast making some happy and fun portraits. I spent some time editing one to be what I felt was the color equivalent of cotton candy or some other blue and pink candy combo which is undeniably outside of my usual style. Who cares, it was meant to be a light and airy portrait and that is how I felt that day anyway. What I’m getting at is that I have been happy here so far, I have met a few people, made some awesome photos and hopefully a few new friends already.

Alright that’s all folks!

P.S. Blackrapid, I live in your city now, let me manage your instagram or something and we can have lots of fun doing crazy videos or stories about your ambassadors!
